I have worked at Exposure Communications since July 2002
I joined the Exposure team as an Account Executive within the education section. I quickly progressed to take on all the education accounts and work alongside others in a variety of consumer and business to business roles.
Exposure Communications is a PR and marketing agency which has built on my previous experience in both sectors.During my year at Exposure Communications I have;
- led the PR for BETT 2003, one of the 10 largest trade shows in the UK and the largest ICT in Education show in the world;
- managed and developed a PR campaign for the Denford F1 in Schools Challenge;
- led the PR campaign for The Education Show 2003;
- won, managed and developed a PR campaign for Intuitive Media who write and maintain Gridclub, SchoolNet Global and Millennium Schools among others;
- worked on a DfES radio campaign during January which generated huge local and regional radio coverage;
- worked on a new DfES initiative developing, sourcing, interviewing for and writing specific school case studies for DfES;
- presented and developed campaigns for potential clients;
- worked on the Urban Gardens' Show, a large consumer garden design show;
- worked on Digital Expo,a design,print and graphics exhibition
- led the launch of Kumon English, a private tutoring service for the UK ...... and more

Surrey Oaklands NHS Trust,Communications department.During this time I have acquired a number of skills and undertaken numerous tasks, which include crisis management, press releases, events management and using my computing skills to extend the communications both within the trust and externally.
Skills acquired and tasks undertaken at Surrey Oaklands:
re- written the Intranet site for all Surrey Oaklands employees
- designed and written an Internet site to publicise Surrey Oaklands Trust (www.mindzone.net).
- written numerous press releases for external publication.
- organised and managed 5 events (both internal and external) ranging from staff awards to conferences.
- written and designed a number of pamphlets for internal and external use within the trust
- Crisis Management (press inquires, press releases etc.)
- planned strategies for paid media for NHS Direct (external)
- written the communications strategy for the communications department of Surrey Oaklands for 2002. This strategy will be released to the public.
- re-designed and written the Surrey Oaklands newsletter for staff and relatives.
Sailing work: Sailing tutor for 8 to 16 year olds (see sailing achievements below)
Research: I have been employed (1995 - 2000) on a number of research projects at the Ultralab learning technology research centre of Anglia Polytechnic University both within the lab as vacation work and researching student behaviours (including managing on-line questionnaire data collection) at Portsmouth to support 'lab projects. I was also responsible for managing the launches and events during this time. These projects all involved the harnessing of new technologies to learning, both for children and adults.

Achievements & Interests
National sailing: In a long and successful sailing career I have been fortunate enough to win numerous club, regional and national trophies.
International sailing: Selected (through trials) to represent UK in International Mirror dinghy World Championships in Wales 1995 and Canada 1997.
Won the Ladies Mirror World Championship title 1995.Skiing: I was on the university ski team from 1997-2001 and attended many competitions on the national university ski circuit.
